religious organizations, leading scholars of scientific organizations and educational
institutions and representatives of the authorities and public organizations of several countrues,

On invitation of the organization Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akgündüz delivered a contribution entitled ‘The Islamic unity, risks of classification and exclusion’. In this context he distinguished the movement of Takfir and extremism and the movement of wisdom and good preaching. Referring to the first movement he pointed out that it is loaded with negativity which is comparable with wind, noise and shout, thus will not give its fruits. The second movement, that of wisdom and good preaching, is according to the professor a positive one to be compared with the characteristics of the movement of the sun.
