Deregistration and partly refunding the tuition fee.

Deregistration

After graduating or leaving study, according to the law on higher education and Science Practice (WHW), each student must sign up for deregistration. Since the deregistration does not automatically occur, the student has to apply for deregistration at the Student Affairs.

  • The student can be deregistered with the study after the first day of the month in which he/she graduates or leaves the study. The date on which the results of the final exams will be announced, is considered the date of graduation. If the student has completed the study by obtaining a closure exam, the registration with the study can be terminated from the beginning of the next calendar month.
  • In case of illness or other special circumstances, the registration can be terminated with the entrance of the month following two full calendar months in which the student as a result of these circumstances could not follow the study.
  • At the request of the student, the registration can be terminated during the pre-graduation period (first registration year) with entrance of the second month following the month in which the request was received.
  • Termination of the registration may also take place directly by the Executive Board if the student acts against the foundations of Islam, Christianity, Judaism and other religions; the student acts contrary to the Islamic Ethics and moral; the student acts against the principles and objectives of the University; the student shows inappropriate and unacceptable behavior vis-à-vis the other students, teachers, administrators, and the staff of the University; the student acts in an unacceptable way against the decisions and views of administrative bodies of the University [1].

If you wish to deregister, please fill out the form below and send it to Student Affairs. Click here for the deregisteration form.

Partial reimbursement of tuition fees

In the case of leaving the studies at the IUR, the tuition fee shall not be refunded until the date of deregistration.

In case of the termination of registration by the Executive Board as a result of bad behavior, the tuition fee shall not be refunded.

In the course of the academic year, a student can ask for termination of his/her registration and therefore for partial reimbursement of the enrolment fee in the following situations:

  • If the student has completed the study by passing the exams of interest the registration can be terminated with the entrance of the next calendar month.
  • If the student, for other reasons, requests to terminate the registration, this request will be decided by the Executive Board (College van Bestuur). If the Executive Board, on the basis of the aforementioned reasons, agrees with the termination of the registration, it is possible to refund of a portion of the tuition fee.

In all cases, the administration costs are included.
