    This symposium will take place under the auspices of the honourable Mr. Gökhan Çetinsaya, chairman of the Council for Higher Education of Turkey, with participation of the honourable Mr. Mehmet Sağlam, former chairman of the Council for Higher Education and the current vice-president of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The symposium is organized in cooperation with various universities, both Turkish and European; the Aksaray University will act as host in the period October 17-19/2012 in the Aksaray University. Islamitische Universiteit Rotterdam is per 1 augustus 2003 verhuisd naar het monumentaal pand op de Bergsingel 135, 3037 GC te Rotterdam. Het complex staat op een, zowel open als gesloten, ruimte ter grootte van 6700 m2. Dit pand werd eerder tevens in gebruik genomen als een onderwijsinstelling door het Zadkine College. Dit pand is aangeschaft voor een bedrag van 2,800,000 euro.

Met haar drie faculteiten en drie onderzoeksinstituten heeft de IUR vandaag de dag grote maandelijkse vastekosten. De IUR doet een beroep op uw zakat, donaties en giften om aan deze kosten te kunnen voldoen.

Islamitische Universiteit Rotterdam is in het bezit van een ANBI-status (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling).

Dat betekent dat u uw gift aan Islamitische Universiteit Rotterdam kunt aftrekken van de belasting indien u voldoet aan de voorwaarden van de belastingdienst.
