IUR joins ‘President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge’ in Washington, United States of America

On September 22nd and 23rd the Islamic University of Rotterdam, represented by Executive Board member mr. E. Gökcekuyu, joins the Sixth Annual President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge, led by the U.S. Department of Education’s Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, the White House, and the Corporation for National and Community Service.

At the panel debate, with representatives of (inter)religious organizations from the United States and abroad, the board member of IUR emphasized on the importance of mutual understanding and peace in the scope of interreligious interaction.

The Sixth Interfaith Challenge is being facilitated by Georgetown University, the U.S. Department of State and the Gallaudet University in Washington.
